Goodbye Boxelders, Hello North Woods!

Our Goal

Take down between 15 to 20 boxelder trees in differing levels of decay that surround our campsites and big firepit and replace them with birches, cedars, and pines.

benefits

This will eliminate the possibility of a dead branch falling on someone's camper and give the property a more cozy north woods look to be enjoyed by us, our campers, and venue guests.

what it will take

The blessing of this project is that it's mostly manual labor. The new trees are free so our monetary investment will all be in chainsaw fuel and replacement chains.

This will allow Joel & Slade to charter fishing trips for guests, and improve Kids Outdoors opportunities.

BUILD A STANDALONE TREEHOUSE CABIN

At 18ft diameter,  built from a grain bin, it will sleep up to 6 people and be available to rent.

COMPLETE BARN UPGRADES

Including handicap access, front & back decks, insulation, lighting, etc. Cost est.: $40k+

INSTALL NEW SEPTIC SYSTEM - 2022

Because our current system failed the test, we are required to replace it before we can move forward with future permits. Cost est.: $18,500

TEAR DOWN OLD BARN KITCHEN

This addition on the barn is in a state of decay and needs to be removed to make room for a future pavillion. Cost est.: dumpster fee

BUILD A COVERED 80 x 28 ft PAVILLION BESIDE THE BARN

This will require engineered drawings, permits, & material but will create protected event space.

GET ENGINEERED DRAWINGS FOR UPGRADING BARN FOR EVENTS

Cost est.: $10k +

DIG A 1/2 ACRE POND

This will transform our swampy agriculture pond into a picturesque location for campers and guests to enjoy.
