Doing what we love

Our Homestead

“Find something you love doing, and get people to pay you for it,” they said. So that’s what we’re doing. And it takes a LOT of work! Becoming who we are has been a journey of many twists and turns and fine-tuning as we’ve moved through different adventures and seasons of life.

The Jubilee Homestead is where we raise our animals, grow elderberries, and host farm campers and weddings. Kids Outdoors is our YouTube & Rumble channel where we host hunting, fishing, & trapping videos for kids. And when we aren’t doing those things, well, even when we are, we write cutting edge thrillers and middle grade Revolutionary War adventures.

Pursuing self-sufficency

Our Homestead

Our desire is to be present in our kids’ lives every day to train them to be wise and prepared adults and lead them to pursue their own relationship with Jesus.

For us, this looks like building a profitable homestead as we pursue self-sufficency and teach ourselves and our kids wise stewardship and business skills.

Kids Outdoors is our family adventure. As a family we love bow hunting, fishing, hiking and anything else outdoors and we want to use what we know to pass on that passion to you and your family.

When we began, we had no idea how to create great videos but we jumped in anyway. We’re still learning how to do things better and keep pursuing our outdoor adventures in the middle of all we do.

To be completely honest, while we continue to pursue the outdoors as a family, keeping up with the homestead has pulled us away from our channel for the time being. Check out our archives to see some of our best adventures!
